"Do you have any idea what you've done?" Richard shouted. "The Sterling Brand stock plummeted eight percent this morning! Investors are pulling out of our new commercial development because of your horrific behavior!"

"Dad, it was an accident! I was stressed!" Chloe sobbed, burying her face in her hands. "Lucas will come back. He loves me. He just needs time to cool down."

"He isn't coming back, Chloe," Richard sneered. "Lucas isn't just some middle-class attorney anymore. Yesterday morning, he was named managing partner at Vance & Associates—the firm representing our biggest competitors. You didn't just lose a husband; you created our worst enemy."
