Chapter 10 - THE VOICE THAT SAVED US

Years later, on the anniversary of that terrible day, we sat together at Dad’s grave.
“I hope you know,” Mom said softly, “that I never stopped loving you. And I never stopped believing the truth would come out.”
Mason placed a small bouquet of wildflowers on the headstone. “I’m sorry I waited so long to tell.”
Dad would have told him exactly what we all knew: You didn’t fail us. You saved us.
