Chapter 3 - The Shadow InvestorSix months passed. Through relentless ambition, brilliant financial acumen, and sleepless nights, Ethan launched a boutique investment firm called Aegis Capital. Operating under the radar, he specialized in restructuring failing tech startups and turning them into market leaders.

Meanwhile, Vance Group was bleeding money due to aggressive, reckless expansions led by Victoria’s vanity projects.

In a high-rise office overlooking the city skyline, Ethan met with Sophia Sterling—a sharp, high-powered corporate lawyer and the niece of the late Julian Sterling.

"I took the DNA test, Ethan," Sophia said, sliding a confidential folder across the glass table. "It's a 99.9% match. You are Julian's direct heir. Which means Arthur Vance has been living on borrowed time and stolen wealth."

Ethan looked out over the city. "We don't launch a lawsuit yet, Sophia. A court battle with the Vances will take years, and they will buy off judges. We take them down where it hurts most: on the stock market."

"They are short on capital for their new smart-city project," Sophia warned. "Arthur is desperate. He's looking for an angel investor to inject fifty million dollars by the end of the week."

A cold, calculated smile formed on Ethan’s lips. "Then let's give him one. Set up a meeting with 'The Vanguard Group.' But don't let them know I'm the man behind the curtain."
