Chapter 4 - The Boardroom TrapThe following morning, the sun streamed into the high-security boardroom of Vance Enterprises. Key stakeholders, board members, and legal advisors sat around the mahogany table in tense anticipation.

Victoria sat near the front, dressed in a sharp crimson blazer, wearing an air of unearned confidence. She believed Christian was still unaware of her sabotage and that today’s corporate restructuring would hand her majority voting rights.

Christian walked into the room calmly, looking every bit the untouchable titan of industry. He didn't sit down immediately; instead, he stood at the head of the table, placing a thick leather-bound dossier in front of him.

"Before we proceed with today's corporate restructuring votes," Christian began, his voice cutting cleanly through the murmur of the room, "we must address a critical security breach and an active criminal investigation involving attempted homicide and corporate sabotage within this family."

Victoria’s smile faltered for a fraction of a second, though she quickly recovered, forcing an artificial laugh. "Christian, darling, what are you talking about? You're letting paranoia cloud your judgment."
