Three months before I filed for divorce, I sat down with my father.
Dad had built the foundation of the company before handing it over to me. He knew exactly how Michael operated.
“Protect yourself now,” he told me. “Men like him always have an exit plan. Make sure yours is better.”
So I did.
I moved major assets into trusts only I controlled.
I changed authorization on corporate accounts.
I documented every suspicious transaction.
I didn’t tell Michael.
