She Slapped The Server In A Beige Uniform—Then Realized It Was The Twin Sister Her Family Stole

The whole ballroom turned toward the older woman.

She stared at the server on the floor like she had seen a ghost wearing a beige uniform.

The woman in green shook her head.

“No. I don’t have a sister.”

The server slowly reached into her apron pocket and pulled out a small gold bracelet.

It was bent, old, and scratched, but the name engraved on it was still clear.

Emma.

The older woman covered her mouth.

The woman in green looked at the bracelet, then at the server’s face.

Her voice broke.

“That was my twin sister’s bracelet.”

The server nodded through tears.

“I know.”

The older woman stumbled forward.

“They told me you died.”

The server looked at her, pain shaking in every word.

“No. They gave me away because Father didn’t want two daughters splitting the inheritance.”
