Part 2: Julian Stared At His Unconscious Son In Absolute Despair While His Cold Mother Showed No Remorse For Her Monstrous Act

Part 2: The Truth Unveiled

The heavy, suffocating silence in the grand foyer was broken only by the frantic, ragged breathing of Julian and the soft, muffled sobbing of young Chloe. Julian’s arms tightened instinctively around the unconscious boy, his knuckles turning pure white against the dark fabric of his tailored suit. His eyes, usually sharp and composed, burned with a terrifying blend of raw panic and profound betrayal as he slowly raised his head to fixate on the imposing figure standing at the top of the grand double staircase.

"Mother," Julian’s voice cracked, vibrating with an unstable fury that seemed to shake the very foundations of the marble hall. "How could you? How could you possibly look at an innocent child and do something this monstrous? He is a part of this family!"

Lady Victoria didn't flinch. Her posture remained impeccably rigid, the heavy velvet of her burgundy gown catching the harsh, dramatic stream of light filtering down from the high arched window. With an agonizingly slow, calculated movement, she adjusted the double strand of pearls resting against her throat, her expression entirely devoid of remorse. To her, cold calculation always outweighed human emotion, and she viewed her ruthless actions not as a crime, but as a necessary purification of their prestigious bloodline.

"Do not raise your voice at me, Julian," Victoria commanded, her tone dropping to a chilling, razor-sharp whisper that echoed effortlessly through the cavernous space. "You are letting your pathetic, fleeting emotions cloud your judgment. Look closely at the facts, my son. We are the Montgomerys. Our legacy, our power, and our name are built upon absolute purity and unblemished perfection. A stray leaf does not belong on the family tree; it is violently pruned away before it can rot the entire branch."

Chloe clutched desperately at the lapel of Julian’s jacket, her tear-stained face twisted in absolute horror and disbelief. "She’s lying, Dad! She’s lying to protect her own cruel, cold heart! She locked us out in the freezing rain for hours, and now she’s trying to throw him away like garbage just because of some sick, twisted lie!"

Julian looked down at his daughter, his heart shattering into a thousand pieces at the sight of her broken spirit. He knew his mother’s ruthless nature all too well—she had ruled their household with an iron fist for decades, discarding anyone who didn't fit her immaculate mold. But this? This crossed every boundary of human decency. Bending down gently, he laid the pale, motionless boy onto the plush velvet rug at the base of the stairs, turning his complete, unyielding fury back toward the woman who had given him life.
